Iberia Parish Library just got May 2015 proclaimed as "Bike Month" in New Iberia! Come celebrate with us by joining their Ancient Tree Bike Hike!
Trees have a history too. The ancient oaks that are in the community all have a story to tell. Join Iberia Parish Library for a leisurely bike ride through town as they learn more about the history of the oaks from horticulturist Jim Foret.
Helmets are required for the bike hike and children must be accompanied by an adult. The program will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 2 beginning at the Main Library, 445 E. Main St., in New Iberia. This tour is perfect for out-of-town tourists, people new to the area, or those who just want to learn more about their...roots in the community.
