The Bayou Teche Museum, in partnership with the Ogden Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans will celebrate the first edition of "Clementine Hunter: A Sketchbook" with a book signing on Sat., May 16, 2015 from 10 a.m. until noon.
The book, presented by Richard Gasperi, contains 26 previously unseen oil-on-paper works by Louisiana folk artist Clementine Hunter (the first group of sketches she ever made).
Publication of the book was made possible through the generous support of local art collectors Becky and Wyatt Collins, as well as Bobbye Carraway of Mississippi. The Collins, along with Ogden Museum's Executive Director William Andrews and Curator Bradley Sumrall, will be on hand to discuss the project.
Please join them for a complimentary continental breakfast and coffee. Books will also be available for purchase at Books Along the Teche, a co-sponsor of the event along with Schwing Insurance.
