NEW IBERIA, La. --- Leaning Oak Farm is a unique way to take the kids to get up close with animals. With guided farm tours providing a hands-on experience for children and adults, everyone will learn things about farming, gardening, aquaculture, cows, sheep, pigs, chicken, rabbits, geese, ducks, goats and more.
Located at 3313 Broken Arrow Rd. in New Iberia, Leaning Oak Farm is a family owned and operated working farm that offers farm themed birthday parties, educational farm tours, and a mobile petting zoo to help teach the importance of healthy living.
In addition to visiting the animals, kids can have fun on the farm's playground and ride ponies after completing training. There is also a picnic area set up and the owners are working on installing a zip line.
The mobile petting zoo is available for all sorts of events, including family outings and reunions, senior centers, schools and daycares or company events.
"If you want to learn about farming, chase a chicken, feed a goat, walk the garden or just enjoy the peacefulness of the farm, stop by, we would love to see you," said Dale Langley, owner.
