NEW IBERIA, La. --- Pam Demint Broussard recently accepted the general manager's position at the Ramada Conference Center in New Iberia.
Her responsibilities include the daily running of the hotel, as well as planning, directing and coordinating human resources and general operations decisions. She also serves as the Holiday Inn Express and Suites' acting general manager.
After earning a bachelor from Florida University, Broussard studied hospitality for four years with Omni. She worked for Omni Orlando Resort at Champion Gate for 12 years.
She moved to Lafayette in 2001 and worked in New Iberia at the former Holiday Inn---now Ramada--- the Holiday Inn Express and Candlewood Suites.
"Everyone at the Ramada Conference Center welcomed me back with open arms, Broussard said. "I am very happy to be back home."
Broussard said the hotel is revamping its restaurant's menu with tasty new dishes, such as Luke's Crawfish Mini Pies with Crawfish Etouff�e. Caf� Le Jardin offers breakfast, daily lunch specials and casual dining.
The Ramada will also add two extended stay suites to its 173 rooms.
