11 Iberia Parish destinations win 2014 TripAdvisor Certificates of Excellence

NEW IBERIA, La. --- Eleven Iberia Parish attractions, restaurants and accommodations have been honored with the TripAdvisor� Certificate of Excellence.
The accolade, which honors hospitality excellence, is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveler reviews on TripAdvisor, and is extended to qualifying businesses worldwide.
"People are increasingly using travel review sites," said Fran Thibodeaux, executive director of the Iberia Parish Convention and Visitors Bureau. "With so many of our partners receiving great reviews, it bodes very well for our destination. Our team appreciates the service and great hospitality experience that our partners provide every day to visitors!"
Only the top-performing 10 percent of businesses listed on TripAdvisor receive this prestigious award. Establishments awarded the Certificate of Excellence are located all over the world and represent the upper echelon of businesses listed on the website.
When selecting Certificate of Excellence winners, TripAdvisor uses a proprietary algorithm to determine the honorees that takes into account reviews ratings. Businesses must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, volume and recency of reviews. Additional criteria include a business' tenure and popularity ranking on the site.
"La Quinta Inn & Suites is honored to receive the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Award for 2014," said Lanae Lopez, general manager at La Quinta Inn & Suites. "This is the second year we have won this award. I have to thank my staff for all their hard work and dedication. We value each and every guest and thank them for their business, loyalty and positive reviews on TripAdvisor."
