Iberian Ambassador of the Week
Congratulations to Mademoiselle Brittany Racca who graduated Saturday with a BA of Communication from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette! As an intern at IPCVB, Brittany helps with visitors, press releases and other communication and administrative tasks. She plans to work part time at IPCVB until the end of the year while looking for employment opportunities.

We use the same listings in the guide and on our website. Please review your listing on our website and send us your changes. If you are not listed, please send us your information.

  • ATTENTION BUSINESS OWNERS: the Greater Iberia Chamber is facilitating the Shop Berry Small campaign in a partnership with the IPCVB, City of New Iberia and BestLife Iberia. We are promoting participating businesses on our website, social media, consumer newsletter, Iberia's Sweet Picks and in ads, including a banner ad on Take advantage of this free marketing opportunity! Click here to register.


  • Apply to the Louisiana Historical Marker program, which commemorates facts, people, events and places prominently identified with the history of the nation, state or region. Historical markers are privately sponsored and funded. Any individual or group may nominate a location or occasion of historical interest for historical marker commemoration.   • Promote your project with the Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce's Operation Progress initiative. In an effort to be able to enumerate and promote the progressive activities taking place within Iberia Parish by civic, social, cultural and governmental entities, the Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce, as your facilitator, is compiling a list of current activities and those planned for the near future. Submit your project by May 30, 2014. Contact the Chamber for details. 
  • Re-development Incentive Grant Applications for 2014-2015 are now available. Louisiana Main Street Redevelopment Incentive Grants encourage economic development through community reinvestment and revitalization by providing matching funds support for the redevelopment of historic downtown commercial properties in order to foster renewed interest in shopping, working, living downtown, and cultural tourism development by providing final support for the restoration and redevelopment (using historic preservation practices) of historic downtown commercial properties. Deadline: June 12, 2014. Details here.

  • We were on TV during National Tourism Week (May 3-11)! Watch KADN Fox 15's coverage of the Lt. Governor press conference at TABASCO® on May 9 here. KATC TV3 did a segment on Iberia Parish Day at the Atchafalaya Welcome Center on May 7 and mentioned our new Iberia Travel App on May 12.
