NEW IBERIA, La. --- The Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its latest business initiative, Shop Berry Small. In partnership with City of New Iberia, Iberia Parish Convention & Visitors Bureau, and BestLife Iberia, local businesses have created month long promotions. Various deals are advertised through the chamber's social media and a listing of participating businesses is available on the Chamber's website and www.iberiatravel.com

"We're hoping to highlight the quality and diversity of shopping local. In addition, to adding to the local tax base and supporting our neighbor retailers, shopping local saves time and fuel" said Janet Faulk-Gonzales, CEO of GICC. "Leveraging the American Express 'Shop Small' campaign, we're promoting local shopping with a twist by playing off of 'Da Berry' nickname and launching Shop Berry Small." 

This campaign will be going on for the entire month of May. Any business in Iberia Parish interested in participating is encouraged to fill out a form at the Chamber's website at www.iberiachamber.org or call (337) 364-1836.

The Iberia Parish Convention & Visitors Bureau is the official parish marketing agency promoting New Iberia, Avery Island, Jefferson Island, Jeanerette, Loreauville and Delcambre as a destination. Marketing programs target leisure travelers, business travelers, media, entertainment industry, and the travel trade including group tour planners, meeting planners, sports planners and special event planners. The bureau operates a parish welcome center located at 2513 Hwy. 14 in New Iberia.
