  • Reposez en paix (rest in peace) Monsieur Arthur Joseph Ledet who passed away Thursday, February 19, 2014. Monsieur Arthur has worked in the Maintenance Department of Iberia Parish Recreation for the last twelve years. We extend our sympathies to his family and friends.    
  • We are sorry to hear about last Friday's fire at Jane's Seafood. We hope they will reopen very soon!
  • Our brand new Historic Main Street Walking Tour brochures are in. Come get your copy today!
  • A & E Gallery will feature artist Jay Duhe at the New Iberia Downtown Artwalk on April 19. All 20 artist members will also exhibit new work. There will be a meet the artist/wine & cheese reception from 5-7 p.m. The gallery will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. that Saturday. Contact: Paul Schexnayder, 337-321-1956.
  • The Iberia Performing Arts League will hold auditions for its spring play, "Wait until Dark," on March 15 from 2-4 p.m. and Monday, March 17 from 6-8 p.m. at the Essanee Theater, 126 Iberia Street in New Iberia. Details hereaande




  • Spring's on its way! Jungle Gardens announced on Facebook that the Japanese magnolias and the camellias are in bloom. They are also starting to see some azaleas.
