- The Sugar City Growers Co-op held a groundbreaking and ribbon cutting ceremony last Wednesday, Feb. 12, in Jeanerette. The co-op is a certified BestLife Iberia garden project. BestLife Iberia Gardens is a program of the BestLife Iberia initiative of the Iberia Industrial Development Foundation. The Sugar City Growers Co-op will bring year round vegetable production to Jeanerette through its hydroponic garden.

Over 500 people visited the Louisiana Travel Promotion Assoc. booth at the Florida Snowbird Extravaganza and signed up for the giveaway. The Louisiana recipe book, in which IPCVB advertises, was distributed.

- The Berry Queens will hold their Hats'n Hallelujahs Gospel Brunch on Sunday, Feb. 23 at noon at the Sliman Theater in New Iberia. $25 per person. Sunday dress with hats.

- SOCIAL MEDIA TIP #23: Tag your food posts with #tastelouisiana and #tasteiberia. The Louisiana Culinary Trail program has been retweeting us almost daily when we tag our posts.

 - Apply for the Louisiana Office of Tourism's Competitive Grant Program, which aims at encouraging and supporting marketing of tourism events that will attract and retain visitors to the state and positively impact our tourism industry. Applications are due Friday, March 14, 2014.

We are a member of the Louisiana Tourism Coastal Coalition, which contracted Gillies and Zaiser Public Relations for one year to attract media to Louisiana's coastal parishes.
