Jeanerette Farmers Market Spring Fling and 1st Annual Sugar Rush 5k Run/Walk

 

               
JEANERETTE, La. --- The Jeanerette Chamber of Commerce will hold its inaugural Spring Fling Market on March 8 at the Jeanerette City Park. The market will have over 30 vendors with home goods, produce, crafts and more. Food and entertainment will also be available during the extended market hours of 8 a.m.- 2 p.m.
 
Everyone is also invited to participate in the 1st annual Jeanerette Sugar Rush 5K, which will benefit Acadiana's Hope for a Cure Society. Early Registration is available until March 1 at a cost of $30, which includes an event T-shirt. After March 1, the registration fee will be $40. 
 
Sign in will begin at 7:30 a.m. on March 8 and the run will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a welcome speech by Jeanerette Mayor April Foulcard. Event T-shirts will be available for purchase at the market and on the chamber's website.

All proceeds from the registration fees will benefit Acadiana's Hope for a Cure Society, a community based, volunteer organization focused on supporting and empowering women and children who are fighting against cancer.
