Funded by Envision daBerry and Southern Mutual Help Association, it was painted by Lafayette artist Jimmy Rink with the help of his wife Carolyn, a New Iberia native, and local volunteers.
The House of Rudolph at 326 Hopkins Street served as the venue for the Bow Tie Tuesday Poetry Jam and for local DJs and bands to play soulful R&B and Funk genre classics. The mural celebrates these artistic events and how participants from the community gather in the retro booths to tell their stories through music and poetry. |
