Edwards will relate humorous and interesting stories from his political career. This event is another installment of ICRA's Louisiana political series, which has included Lieutenant Governor Jay Dardenne's presentation, "Ghosts of Louisiana's Political Past", as well as "The Kingfish," presented by Lafayette attorney Jay Suire.
"We strongly encourage people to buy tickets for 'An Evening With Edwin Edwards' because the funds generated from this event will provide the monies needed to put on New Iberia Beneath The Balconies," said Cathy Indest, ICRA's president.
New Iberia Beneath The Balconies, a free annual event, will be held on Oct. 26, 2013. It will feature theatrical presentations and musical performances on selected balconies along New Iberia's award-winning Main Street.
The public can purchase two types of tickets for "An Evening With Edwin Edwards": general admission to Edwards' presentation at 7 p.m. ($35), or reserved seating with backstage reception at 5:30 p.m., which includes wine and hors d'oeuvres ($75). To reserve tickets, call 337-658-9746 or 337-364-1603.
