The Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce's team, Mesdames Alaina Hebert Segura, Marketing & Public Relations Manager; Janet Faulk Gonzales, President/Chief Executive Officer; and Kelly Roark, Vice-President of Operations, will hold their Clay Shoot Classic fundraiser this Sunday.

We will be promoting our tourism partners and Iberia Parish on May 9 at the Atchafalaya Welcome Center for National Tourism Week. We invite you to come to the welcome center at I-10 Exit 121 in Butte La Rose to see interactive exhibits and travel information on the entire state.  

  • New Iberia Main Street and Shadows-on-the-Teche received the Main Street Communities Award and Historic Preservation Education Award on April 23, 2013 at the Louisiana Culture Awards Ceremony in Baton Rouge. F�licitations, felicidades, congratulations!  
    Ray Scriber, Louisiana Main Street Director; Jane Braud, New Iberia Main Street Program Director; Pat Khale, Shadows-on-the-Teche Director; and Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne at the Louisiana Culture Awards last week.
  • Lake Fausse Pointe State Park reopened its waterpark.
  • The Louisiana Office of Tourism budget impacts Iberia Parish! We encourage all tourism stakeholders to follow this link and send a pre-drafted letter to members of the Louisiana House Appropriations Committee asking them to support tourism during the upcoming legislative session. This is a campaign of the Louisiana Travel Promotion Association and the Louisiana Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus.
  • Brenda Comeaux Trahan is promoting/marketing the France Acadian Heritage Tour for "Novacadie Tours" from Nova Scotia. Click here for more information.

  • FREE publicity opportunity: We are working on the June calendar of events, which we will e-mail to all our contacts including media, tourism partners, government officials, consumers and tourism bureaus in state, out of state and abroad. We will also post it on our Facebook and website. If you want your event to be included, please let us know by Wednesday, May 1.
  • Are you in the wedding business? The June/July issue of Acadiana Profile will feature weddings and destinations. Click here to request a media kit.
  • Reserve your ad space in the Fall 2013 edition of the Louisiana Schools Field Trip Guide produced by the Birmingham News. The guide will be mailed directly to evey 3rd through 8th grade classroom teacher in Louisiana.
