The Sternthaler label recalls the famous Brothers Grimm story "The Star Talers" ("Die Sterntaler") and has become as much a part of German tradition and culture as the fairy tale itself.
 
What is more fitting during the Christmas season than the story of the pious girl who gave all her belongings to the poor and needy and received silver coins from stars for her kindness!
 
Sternthaler has been producing superb Glühwein specialties for decades. Their most popular mulled wine is the original Sternthaler Nürnberger Christkindles Glühwein portraying the Sternthaler girl and the famous Kaiser castle of Nuremberg on the label.
 
The recipe of this famous mulled wine is a well-kept secret--we can only tell you that it is a delectable combination of red wine, exotic spices and other ingredients. Glühwein is ready to drink; simply heat (do not boil) to enjoy. Glühwein is a special treat on a cold day or any day. It is also excellent when served over ice.
