Rina being flown by pilot Michael Alger. |

Carole and pilot David Trilling. Her gratitude is written below. |
Hi Kathy,
I finally made it home safe Monday night.
The day started out with small worry because of weather.
David Trilling made it into Marathon just in the nick of time though. Not one minute after he landed it started pouring buckets of rain.
We did have to wait it out a little while but eventually got on our way.
I had called a cab driver that I had used before & he showed up within minutes of landing & I was on my way to the doctor.
After speaking with you I called the same cab driver & he took me to Tampa International Airport.
It was a comedy of errors in getting my ticket. Between my phone charge being low & many extra fees to buy a ticket
at the counter I finally prevailed.
I was booked for the 8:40 p.m. flight & noticed that the plane was delayed two hours in Dallas because of severe weather
& would not land until 11:00 p.m. in Key West. I asked about changing it
to the earlier flight & she said to check at the gate, that perhaps they would do it for free since I was disabled.
The woman at the gate spoke to her supervisor, she was so kind. She did get me on the earlier flight but it was
going to Ft. Lauderdale first.
Between the wheelchair rides & deplaning in Ft. Lauderdale to be wheeled in one big circle then get back on the plane it was quite
exhausting & did increase the pain of CRPS/RSD into the highest realms.
CRPS/RSD affects the nervous system, bones, skin, limbic system & so much more. Here is a link if you are interested in reading
a one page information sheet. I have CRPS/RSD Type II. November is CRPS/RSD awareness month, wear orange and/or flames :)

I finally made it home, about 9:30 p.m. & was greeted by my dog Lucas. It was so nice to be greeted by his wagging tail &
many sloppy kisses.
I think you know how I feel about Angel Flight & all of you that keep this wonderful organization going.
I would like to reiterate that flying commercial sure reminds me of exactly how caring & comfortable it is to fly with Angel Flight.
It is literally a life saver & not to mention many days of increased pain avoided by flying with Angel Flight.
Every pilot has always made sure I am comfortable before taking off. They make me smile, laugh & appreciate life & know that
there are so many caring people in a world that is often extremely challenging for disabled folks like myself.
I have the utmost respect for every single one of you. All angels on earth.
I very much missed seeing David & Ruth Taisch. I hope they are well & his plane is back to tip top shape. Please tell them thank
you, hello & I look forward to seeing them in the future.
I also must mention that my flights with David Trilling are always relaxing & enjoyable. He is very kind & has a caring
unconventional way about him. I had the privilege to get a couple of photo's *with* him. I have noticed that he does not take
photo's with many people, I feel honored that he took one with me. Quite good of both of us I might add too :)
I often relax & close my eyes on his flights. He is an excellent pilot & his take offs & landings are
so smooth that they are ''smooth like butter''. I barely notice if my eyes are closed when we land.
I want to thank you & was it Steven(?) that I spoke with in trying to get a driver for me to airport? I thank you both for
trying your hardest. It is very appreciated. In the end it a lll worked out & I got home safely, all that matters.
I wanted you to also know that I am in a private group on Facebook with other CRPS/RSD patients & have told so many, all
over the country about Angel Flight. They are always so shocked to learn of you. Some have actually told me they were brought
to tears upon learning that they could now go to a doctor that was previously out of reach for them. I know of two that will
be using Angel Flight branches in the midwest. CRPS/RSD is a truly nasty disease & they are so grateful that they can now get
to a doctor that is farther away but specializes in CRPS/RSD.
I will continue to tell anyone that says they want to go to a doctor far away but cannot get there.
Again, my humblest thank you to every single one of you.
It was a pleasure hearing your voice on the phone as well :)
Thank you all kindly, Carole
