Great fundraising idea

Dear Angel Flight: I am enclosing a donation in honor of the guests invited to my granddaughters wedding in October.

We learned of your organization while my 23-year-old granddaughter was in Tampa General Hospital waiting for a liver transplant in May of this year. She had a rare tumor that left transplant as the only treatment. Her mother heard the story of your flights to Miami for the two children who needed transplants and she was moved to have us choose to donate to your organization instead of giving party favors.

My granddaughter didn't need transportation but received a liver near the end of May and has recovered beautifully. Her wedding is October 11 and we thank God for his intervention and recovery.

We are posting information from your website about Angel Flight in a prominent place and putting cards at each table (copy enclosed). We hope others will be moved to support your organization. After our experience party favors somehow seem too trivial.

May God bless you all and keep you safe.

Sincerely, Lorraine Smith

Ryan & Courtney Garner

Thank you for sharing our special day with us!

In honor of all the love and support we have received from you all, in lieu of favors we will be making a donation in honor of you to the Angel Flight Southeast organization whose volunteers provide free medical flights for those in need including those in need of transplant to and from medical centers.

Please see the information that we have posted.
