Dear Angel Flight Southeast volunteers and pilots,

I cannot thank everyone enough who has helped me get to my doctor appointments. Yesterday I returned home from my last appointment. When I first started going to Dr. Hashmi 14 years ago, I was too ill to take advantage of your great services. I required a wheelchair and was in severe pain ALL the time. It has been a long 14 years but have finally made it to a point that I am well enough and will no longer require out of state treatments. I am very excited to start a new chapter in my life.

I could not have afforded my continued treatments without the help of Angel Flight Southeast. Thank you to everyone who has helped along the way especially the pilots that helped me get to Stuart this week despite the weather. ( Dr. David Mauritson, Kilton Kingsman, Jane Wareham, Art Elliot, Gary Welkner, John Epley, Dr. Randy Cole, and Dr. Roberto Maal).

Being able to fly on these private planes (and on one instance a helicopter) has been exhilarating. I got to see so many fantastic sites. It has been an experience that I will never forget.

I wish I could do more to say thank you. If any Angel Flight Southeast volunteer is ever in Lafayette, LA and would like a meal or a place to stay please call me. I would love to give back to the people that have given me so much.

Thank you,
Danielle

Editor: Sounds good Danielle, we might just fly in :)

We are looking for drivers in the Tampa area near either Tampa Executive Airport or Moffitt Cancer Center to drive our passengers to or from the airport. Currently, the passengers are forced to use a Taxi.

Thank you Michael Boylan for volunteering! Michael received a flight from us 14 years ago as a multi-visceral organ recipient! We could use at least one more.

Video editor
We are looking to create a new video with clips we've received over the past year. Our existing one is getting a bit dated, and we'd love to tell our story better than ever!

Thank you to Pilot Harvey Moore for offering his company's services to help us with this project!

Event Chairperson: Fort Lauderdale Pilot Awards Gala April 17th/18th, 2015. We will be moving this event to the Emerald Hills Golf Club where the Mike & Shirley Brady Foundation will be putting on our Golf Tournament there in 2015. We are looking for someone who has the time and resources to organize a committee to hold our 2014 Pilot Awards there.

Thank you to Volunteer Helicopter Pilot Jane Wareham for signing up as a committee member! We still need a chairperson! Thanks to Bruce Brown for volunteering as Co-chairman.

November in the Ft. Lauderdale area - Angel Flight Southeast would like to participate in the South Florida Business Aviation Association golf tournament with a foursome or some other sponsorship where we can help promote the SFBAA and gain additional exposure for our cause. Email Steve if you're interested. steve.purello@mercymail.org

Who wants to sponsor a foursome?
