24/7 Phone system upgrades |
Just like in our airplanes, having equipment redundancy of critical components to safely navigate and keep our airplanes running is one of the most important tools we have as pilots. For any piece of equipment that we have on our airplane that is critical, it's a good idea to have another one in case it fails.
The same is true for our phone system. These phones have to be answered 24 hours per day including holidays to ensure that all passengers have our service available to them. We've been making some upgrades in that system so even if our entire system goes down our answering service will receive the calls, even in the middle of the night. We have a few more bugs to work out so please be patient with us. Some calls that should stay in the office are being treated as emergency, and going directly to the answering service.
To avoid having your call routed to the answering service during business hours, please use our main incoming line: (352) 326-0761.
Thanks!

Phillips 66 at Leesburg |
Our home field (KLEE) at Care Traffic Control now has Phillips 66 at the local FBO, Sunair. Take advantage of the per gallon discount offered by Sunair for Angel Flight Southeast missions AND take advantage of an additional $1.00 rebate when paying with your Phillips 66 card.
Phillips 66® Aviation is committed to supporting pilots that volunteer their time and aircraft to charities that provide free air transportation to patients whose financial resources would not otherwise enable them to receive medical treatment or diagnosis, or who may live in rural areas without access to commercial airlines. These charities also provide a vital mode of transportation for organs, blood and for patients awaiting organ transplants. As a proud supporter of pilots that fly compassion flights organized by eligible charitable organizations, we provide a $1-per-gallon avgas rebate to help support the pilots who unselfishly donate their time and aircraft so that children and adults may access life saving medical care free of charge.

AFIDS 2.0 is coming! |
Our online flight coordination software is getting a big upgrade very soon!
We are looking for a few pilots to help with the testing. Volunteers?
Pilot user group We need a user group of members who would be willing to try a few defined tasks in the new system. This group should include different types of members, for example: ● Active pilots who search for missions and request them ○ Pilots with different kinds of airplanes, or who like different kinds of missions ● Earth angels ● Flight coordinators, hotline representatives A group of 6-12 members should be sufficient for the user group. We will provide these members with a list of tasks to complete and some simple instructions on how to complete them, as well as a way to provide us with feedback
Email Steve if you're interested. steve.purello@mercymail.org
