Expectations of Others
When You Are Ahead Of The Pack In Your Ability To Change

One man's ceiling is another man's floor.

This is what my grandmother used to say to me when I would come to her, broken-hearted that someone just wasn't "trying" as hard as I was. In a family of six children, this was a familiar complaint, but when it is you and your efforts that seem stymied, if feels singularly personal.

Remember, everyone grows at their own rate and in their own time. If it could be any different for them it would be. Some friends, family members and co-workers will move more slowly (or quickly) than we will. We can either focus our attention on what everyone else is "doing" or not "doing" but in the end, that has little affect on the outcome. Why? Because we can not control their minds and hearts.
Here is a hint, though! When you focus on being the "BEST" version of you possible to imagine, others see it and begin to respond. At first, they may be envious, then skeptical, then they magically "warm up to you" and finally, they may even openly ask you, "hey, how do you do it everyday being so ....." When you get to this point in the process, others will flock to you and frankly, may not even know why.

But we know why, don't we!
