Back to Basics with a #4F All Trim on a Shih Tzu
Lisa Leady, NCMG, CMG

Even award-winning pet stylists like Lisa Leady do these short trims every day. It's one of the most popular pet owner requested trims everywhere. Seasoned pros know that there can be a big difference between a good #4 All trim and a bad one.
In this lesson, Lisa takes you back to the basics with this Shih Tzu. She demonstrates how she grooms these types of dogs in an hour or less. The subtle details are what create a beautiful trim. Lisa shares numerous tips throughout the entire lesson on this low maintenance haircut.
The end result is neat and tidy. She makes this little cutie look significantly younger. How? Lisa accentuated key features, especially on his head. We particularly like what she did to make his blue eye really stand out. Check it out.
Approximate total running time:  41 minutes

Grooming the Welsh Terrier

As Colin states in this lesson, "Go to a dog show. With just two minutes of watching someone who really knows how to groom a breed, you can learn TONS." Well, the same goes for this video! Colin is a seasoned pro and a master teacher. Even though this grooming demonstration is only 45 minutes long, it's filled with valuable information.

Colin does a brilliant job discussing the breed standard for the Welsh Terrier. He shows you step-by-step how to apply those standards to the trimming process. His common sense communication style allows both beginners and seasoned stylists to glean a wealth of information from this lesson.
