Creative styling genius, Angela Kumpe knocked it out of the park with this dog! Although this owner had never met Angela, she spent some time on her website. After reviewing the website, she gave Angela total free reign to do anything she wanted to her Shih Tzu. Angela knew she would have to step-it-up-a-notch in order to impress this owner.
Angela did not disappoint us at Learn2GroomDogs.com! She worked out a dazzlingly creative design that was temporary. It was a combination of working with an airbrush and blow pens. To get the outline the fish pattern, Angela started with a stencil and let her creative imagination go from there.
In this lesson, Angela shares with you all of her tools and techniques to get this brilliant colored design. The true beauty - it's a creative temporary design. The color will not rub off on the carpet or the furniture. It will hold up for a number of days. However color can be washed out of the fur. The coat does not have to grow out before the color is eliminated.
This dog never had such an extensive creative design. And he certainly never had an airbrush used on him. He was extremely good for the entire process -- however he was very ticklish. Angela shows you how to work through that type of situation.
Even if you don't want to go to this extreme, the techniques Angela shares in this lesson can be scaled down and applied in your own salon very easily. If you are inspired by color, this is a really fun lesson to watch.
