 The Fetching Canine Salon Tour
with Lindsey Dicken NCMG

Join award winning pet stylist, Lindsey Dicken and her business partner Carmen Butera as they take you on a tour of The Fetching Canine. Recently remodeled from a former dentist office, this dynamic duo has created a fabulous spa like retreat for their clients. The shabby chic style is warm and inviting. Multiple small rooms have allowed them to conveniently break up the space into multiple areas including:

  • reception area with retail
  • office and break area for the staff
  • multiple restrooms
  • wet room
  • drying room
  • finish grooming area with pet holding areas

The space is open with a lot of natural light.

The Fetching Canine is located just north of Orlando, Florida. At the time of this filming, the salon had not even been open for a year. However, the strong attention to quality grooming, outstanding customer service and attention to details (even down to color coordinating footwear!) it is already winning awards. The Fetching Canine recently captured 2nd place out of 34 local grooming salons for Orlando's coveted A-List! Well done ladies!!

This is a very inspiring lesson for anyone dreaming of their own grooming business or looking to remodel their current shop. Lindsey enlightens you on what their inspirations were as they designed their new salon on a pretty limited budget. The end results are fabulous!

Are You Front Page News Worthy?

If your local newspaper were to drop by, un-announced, to do a feature story about you and your business -- would you be proud? What about your local TV station? Would you be delighted of the impression you will make on the community as your photos were splashed across the front page? Or seen by thousands watching the local news?

If the answer is no, take the steps necessary to create that positive, professional image that will make a lasting impression on all of your clients every day.

Common Groomer Physical Ailments

that Plaque Our Industry

Professional pet grooming is a far cry from a less physically strenuous desk job. It's physically demanding and dirty. The dryers are loud -- and occasionally the yapping dog in the corner even louder. There are days when you leave the shop mentally and physically drained. Despite the negative components of grooming pets -- most of us wouldn't trade it for any other career. It can be one of the most rewarding jobs we have ever done. Unfortunately, the demanding elements can take a toll on our bodies. Join longtime stylist, Misty Fowler as she shares her extensive list of problems she has learned to overcome through the years.
Approximate running time: 15 minutes.

Grooming TIP of the WEEK!
