'Gettin' er Done' Series with Judy Hudson
Grooming a Pet Glen of Imaal Terrier
|

Judy Hudson is an awarding winning groomer. She is also a popular demonstrator at grooming trade shows. In this lesson, Judy works on a pet Glen of Imaal Terrier.
This is a newer breed to the American Kennel Club. We are just starting to see them appear in our pet clientele. Even if you have never groomed one - you can still groom it to proper breed profile with a little research. In the lesson, Judy tells you how you can find the best information to do justice to this breed.
The dog that Judy is using for the demonstration is a family pet. It's a very good client of Judy's. The owner likes their dog to be a bit longer and more natural looking than what we are currently seeing in the conformation show ring. Judy does a nice job balancing the client's wishes with retaining the essence of the Glen of Imaal breed profile.
Judy uses a combination of handstripping techniques and thinning shear work to groom this dog.
Approximate running time: 27 minutes

We were headed out of Michigan on our three week annual fall ride with our horses last week. Our big horse trailer and truck were packed to the limit. (Horses have LOTS of stuff!) Our passion is to horse camp and explore trails around the Tennessee area.
We've made this trek every fall for the past 12 years. We love it.
So we're cruising down I-75...
