In this issue watch the prize patrol surprise teachers
Nearly 9,000 students across Highline spent at least 60 minutes creating code this month. The students were part of the worldwide Hour of Code, a movement dedicated to introducing young people to computer programming.

We want the best for our students. That means recruiting top-notch teachers and staff to fill our schools -- people who will deliver on Our Promise of knowing every student by name, strength, and need.
Over $80,000. That's the amount of money the Highline Schools Foundation handed out to teachers in Excel Grants this year. In all, the Foundation awarded 112 Excel Grants across the district -- more grants (and more money) than in any previous year.

PROMISE: Every student is known by namestrength, and need.
