Emergency Alert System Information
With the winter season quickly approaching, it is important for your student to review their e2 Campus account to ensure they are signed up to receive emergency notifications. The USJ Alert System powered by e2 Campus will automatically send notifications (if they are signed up to receive messages) critical to their safety and well-being, as well as storm-related information, to all USJ e-mail accounts for faculty, staff, and students. Here is the web page which tells your student how to sign up and where to go to edit their account at any time: USJ Alert System.

Lunch & Learn Series: Script Your Future - Medication Adherence
Maria A. Summa, PharmD., B.C.P.S.: Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Administration
Tuesday, December 4, 2012
11:00 a.m. Lunch - 11:40 p.m. Presentation
Mercy Hall, Crystal Room
$25 per person
Have you ever wondered about the health consequences of poor medication adherence or not taking medication as prescribed? The most recent data related to medication taking behaviors includes some startling findings -- one out of three patients will never fill their prescriptions, and nearly three out of four Americans don't follow their prescribed treatment regimens. More than one-third of hospital admissions are linked to medication non-adherence. Patients may struggle with medication adherence for many reasons, and the consequences are serious - poor health outcomes for patients and increased costs for our health care system. In fact, medication non-adherence now costs us $290 billion annually - largely due to the increased costs of hospitalizations related to medication non-adherence.
Click here to print the registration form.(Registration deadline 11.30.12)
