Advisory Board on Services for Persons with Disabilities (ABSPD) Changes Name! As of February 10, 2015, Edmonton City Council approved new bylaws for the Advisory Board on Services for Persons with Disabilities (ABSPD) which included a name change and introduction of a new dynamic logo. The ABSPD is now called the Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC). Click here for more information. Congratulations AAC!

Grande Prairie Bowling Group
Join us each Tuesday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. to bowl or to cheer us on! Taking place at Grande Prairie's Bowling Stones Ten Pin Entertainment Center (close to GPRC and Margaret Edgson Manor), $4.00 per game. Volunteers welcome. Bowling summer hours starting May 15th will be 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Summer Mobility - The Accessibility Advisory Committee of Grande Prairie The Accessibility Advisory Committee of Grande Prairie will meet with Michelle Gairdner, Manager of the Environmental Stewardship Committee of the City of Grande Prairie on April 17, 2015 to discuss needed changes for summer mobility. We are looking at creating a check list of accessibility issues in Grande Prairie to use as a reporting system. Please send in your ideas ahead of time so we can include them on the list, and contact Mieke for the location if you would like to join.
Cash and Camping
A small group of volunteers has come forward to sell tickets at the Swan City Rotary Club Cash and Camping Lottery Tent for SCI Alberta. If you would like to volunteer, please contact the office. "This year's lottery will be launching April 10th in the Prize Building in the parking lot of the Great Northern Casino. There will be an Early Bird Draw on May 15th for 6 prizes totalling $15,000 in Cash and our final draw will take place on July 3rd at the Prize Building. This year we have 511 prizes in total and have partnered with 11 partner groups." (Jessie Urness)
