 We are proud to announce that The Caldwell House has been recognized as the "Official Best Small Town Inn in Louisiana for 2013"! The Official Best of Louisiana 2013 program will air on The Discovery Channel on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at 5:00 am CST, and on WGNO/ABC New Orleans on Saturday, April 20, at 11:30 am CST. The Caldwell House segment will also be posted on the national travel site, www.OfficialBestOf.com/Louisiana immediately following the April 20th airing.
Producers of Official Best Of observed that The Caldwell House represents the historic style, scenic surroundings and peaceful ambiance that typify the Acadiana region of Louisiana. Offering its guests spacious rooms, gourmet breakfasts and special event venues, The Caldwell earned its place as Official Best Small Town Inn in Louisiana for 2013.
One distinction that sets Official Best Of apart from many other travel sites is that it doesn't accept advertising on either its television shows or its website. The selection of attractions is by merit, and lesser-known but worthy attractions are given the same attention as famous ones.

A segment of the half-hour Official Best of Louisiana 2013 travel show was filmed at The Caldwell House Bed and Breakfast in Abbeville, Vermilion Parish, Louisiana.
In the segment, owners Mark and Darlene Frederick narrate the video tour of The Caldwell House and property, describing features of this one hundred six year old villa and inviting visitors to "explore the French heritage and charm of Abbeville, home of the annual Giant Omelet Festival."
The Official Best Of studios are located in Hollywood, California. Researchers located across the country spend at least 2 months per show compiling a collection of the very best attractions and destinations in each state.
