It's not too late to make permanent land conservation a part of your 2012 celebrations. Your tax-deductible year-end gift to Desert Foothills Land Trust will support local land conservation in the beautiful Sonoran Desert Foothills!
Your gift allows the Land Trust to manage and steward 17 nature preserves and conservation easements, including popular recreation areas like P.A. Seitts Preserve at Go John Canyon and the Jewel of the Creek Preserve. These special places provide habitat for wildlife and plants, as well as opportunities for all of us to experience the remarkable beauty and diversity of the desert.
 Your gift also allows the Land Trust to host community events like Desert Discovery Day and our guided preserve tours - connecting our community to local protected lands and giving children of all ages the chance to learn and play in nature.
And, your gift also allows the Land Trust to pursue new land protection opportunities in our region. Right now, we are working to complete a new 40-acre acquisition in partnership with the Town of Carefree. This property includes a sensitive wash and archaeological site, and has been a Land Trust priority for protection for more than 20 years! We are working toward a January closing and will be completing a management plan after the closing.
