**In the New Year, UE will visit Medieval Times in Orlando on January 16th. Students will tour the Medieval Village, view an educational presentation on the culture of the time period and enjoy the show and lunch. The cost is $37 per student and is due by January 9th. We need four drivers.

  300 pounds of food and a few hundred dollars worth of toys and gifts were picked up this week by Metropolitan Ministries!

 

Metropolitan staff were amazed at the volume

of donations from this small school.  

 

BPS students learned about giving to others 

by bringing donations and seeing those items donated by others. 

A valuable holiday lesson.

After School Activities & Thanks
Thanks
Hanakkah presentation by Ms. Lisa.
All classes were treated to a presentation this week about Hanakkah by Ms. Lisa, Primary Teacher.
After hearing the story, students enjoyed homemade latkes, (potato cakes) and applesauce.  Thank you, Ms. Lisa.

Photo After School

Photography after school returns on Wednesday, January 14th, with Kim Hicks of Shutterbug Academy. Class will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 pm for nine weeks. In this course students get to express themselves through photography. Children ages 6 and older are invited to join.

 

French Classes

French classes after school resume when school starts back in session in January.  New students are welcome to join. Lower Elementary ages have French on Monday and Wednesday from 3:30 to 4 pm and Upper Elementary/Middle School at the same time on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Registration forms are in the office.  Senora (Madame) Felisa Insignares teaches these classes and can be contacted at school for more information.

 

 

Ms. Lisa's Dance

Ms. Lisa's Dance will start the second semester Thursday, January 8th. This class will be offered on Thursdays at 3:15 pm. Current students should have received registration forms.  If your child is interested in joining the dance class, you may pick up a form in the school office.

 

Chess 

Chess coach, Al Massip, will return with the next session of chess on Thursday afternoons starting January 15th.  You may pick up a form in the school office to sign up.

 

Tennis

Tennis lessons after school for Primary students - ages 3, 4 & 5 years, will resume starting Tuesday, January 13th with Coach Jonathan Collazo. You may pick up a form in the school office to sign up.
