Shamrock Shout Out to Ms. Bach
It goes without saying that our teachers at St. John Vianney Catholic School are incredible educators. Year after year, they continue to attain the highest standards at both the elementary and middle school levels. Oftentimes parents (and sometimes even students) don't get to know these amazing teachers until they have a student in that grade, so we would like to change that. In our Shamrock Shout Out blog, we want to feature one of these wonderful educators each month, and peek into his or her life both inside and outside the classroom. Click Here to learn all about our awesome art teacher, Ms. Dana Bach.

Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) We are pleased to offer Children's Liturgy of the Word throughout the summer months at the Saturday 4:30pm Mass and Sunday 11:00am Mass, but it takes a great amount of dedication from many generous volunteers to commit to a ministry with busy summer schedules. Thank you to all the dedicated people who provide this wonderful ministry to the children of St. John Vianney throughout the year. To continue this ministry and make it manageable for our current volunteers we are looking for additional adults and teens to come forward to share their love of Jesus with the children. We are looking for people to make a monthly commitment at a Mass of your choosing or to be a substitute and help as needed. To volunteer or for more information, please call Dawn Van Dorf at 796-3944 x1117. Thank you for your interest. Men and teens please consider becoming a part of Children's Ministry. We need your help!

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month In addition to our efforts throughout the year, the Archdiocese of Milwaukee has always recognized the important month of April as Child Abuse Prevention Month. This year, we have also designated April 17-23, as Safe Environment Week. In doing so, we can assure that every parish and school, as well as the entire faith community focuses, at the same time, on the importance of keeping our children and youth safe. This year's theme will follow the Year of Mercy. As Pope Francis said when declaring the Year of Mercy, Merciful like the Father ... is the "motto" of this Holy Year. In mercy, we find proof of how God loves us... Day after day, touched by His compassion, we also can become compassionate towards others. Please follow this link for further information.
