As we are past the half-way point in the school year, it is a good time to remind everyone of the new traffic pattern that was implemented this year for pick-up and drop-off procedures. As you remember, the purpose of the new traffic pattern was to essentially split the parking lot into two sections: one for the school, and one for the parish, especially during daily mass. While we admit it is not perfect, and that sometimes the line can back up, we are all pleased that it is much safer for everyone. Here are some reminders that we ask each family to please follow:
- For school pick-up and drop-off, please enter and exit via Norhardt Drive. Please do not use Calhoun Road. Using Calhoun Road interferes with dismissal from 7:00am Mass and makes things very congested around 7:40am.
- You may use Calhoun Road to enter our parking lot if you are going to park on the east side of the parking lot and walk to the school using the cross-walk.
- When exiting onto Norhardt Drive, you may only make right turns during pick-up and drop-off times. Attempting left-hand turns also backs things up.
- During inclement weather, please follow the normal traffic pattern. Please do not move the line closer to the school building, as this delays the drop-off procedures.
We ask that you would please adhere to these regulations and that you encourage others to do the same. As a reminder, here is a link to the traffic pattern diagram. Things work the best when we all work together and follow the same traffic patterns, so thank you very much for your continued cooperation with our pick-up and drop-off procedures.

SCRIP-THE Best Fundraiser Ever! Q. Why is SCRIP a great fundraiser? A. Because families don't have to spend any extra money on items they don't want or need. Simply purchase gift cards for weekly expenses and at the same time, earn profits for SJV and cash back for yourself. Purchase a card at its face value, for example $50 and use it for $50 in purchases at your favorite store. On that $50 card, the rebates earned are shared by you and SJV. It's a Win/Win! Q. How does SJV use the money earned from your purchases? A. SJV Home and School uses the profits to fund activities and programs for all students, such as Catholic Schools Week, Back to School Social, High Interest Day, Assemblies, Playground equipment, Books for classrooms, Secret Santa Shoppe, Teacher Appreciation and much more. If you have never used SCRIP and would like more information, please call Martha Connelly, Amy Lodes, or Janet Fisher. If you are out of the habit of using SCRIP, we invite you to try it again. There are so many great ways to use SCRIP and support your school at the same time! Next SCRIP order - Tuesday, February 23. Please send your orders to school or complete your online orders by 8:30am.
