I am proud to announce that the parent portal for Power School is available for your use. Before I get into some specifics, I want to thank everyone for their continued patience in waiting for Power School to become available for parents. I know that it was probably frustrating to not have access for the first month of school, so thank you!
This week we will be mailing a letter to your home with all of the information to setup your Power School account. If you have multiple children enrolled at SJV, you will receive a copy for each student because the login information will be slightly different for each child. Please follow the step-by-step instructions provided for each child to complete the registration. Each child will be linked to the same parent account, though. I recommend completing these steps from a home computer, rather than a mobile device, if possible.
Once you have completed the registration process you will be able to access your child's Power School account. Once you login, you will see all of your child's classes and current grades. If you click on the grade for that class, you will be able to see the individual assignments for that particular class to access more detailed information.
Other features of Power School include:
- View your child's daily schedule
- Sign yourself up for automatic emailed reports (daily, weekly, monthly) showing your child's grades, assessments, attendance and more using the "Email Notifications" link.
- Instantly email the teachers by clicking on their linked names
- Create multiple parent accounts so that each parent has access to student information
Access your child's information instantly by downloading the Power School Mobile app to your mobile device.
|
Please be aware that this is a new system for us as well. As you login, if you notice any problems, or if something doesn't look right, please let us know and we will try to address the problem as soon as possible. I think the best way for you to feel comfortable on Power School is to try it for yourselves. I think you will find it to be a very user friendly program that will provide you with a lot of good information regarding your child's performance in school. Click here for a helpful video covering many different topics, including registering and going over all of the parent functions.
Please look for the letter in the mail this week, and please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions at all. Thank you again for your patience.
Positively SJV,

SJV Alumni- Kelley Grubich
Following her time at Saint John Vianney, Kelley graduated with multiple honors from Catholic Memorial High School in 2015. She was a member of both National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. Kelley also earned the International Baccalaureate Diploma. While at CMH, Kelley enjoyed performing each year as a member of the Show Choir, in the cast of the school musical, and as an assistant choreographer for the kids cast in the musical. Kelley was also on the soccer team for four years. Her senior year, she helped coach a U-13 girls soccer team, which she found especially rewarding. Outside of school, she spent time volunteering at the Elmbrook Humane Society. Kelley is currently attending Northwestern University. She is pursuing a major in Biology with plans to eventually attend Veterinary School.
