Participants in the SJV Summer Camp had two weeks of great summer fun!

First of all, I want to thank everyone for your overwhelming support as I have transitioned into my new role as principal of SJV. I am truly humbled to be able to call myself principal of such a great school. The first few weeks have been very exciting around here! We just completed the SJV Summer Camp, and it was a huge success. Whether they were engineering with Legos, cooking desserts, making movie trailers, or drawing like the masters, all of the students really seemed to have a blast! The entire staff is extremely excited about the upcoming school year, and as the summer flies by, we are working hard to make sure that we have everything in place to ensure that we have a great school year. I feel that it is my role to ensure that all of our school families feel informed and comfortable during the school year through open and honest communication. I view our relationship as a partnership with the same goal in mind, which is to provide a great education for all of our students. With that said, as we get closer to the start of the school year, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Looking for Sports Photos
We are updating our marketing materials and are looking for sport action photos. Do you have any you could share with us? Send any pictures to janellep@stjohnv.org. - It must be an action shot that is clear with good lighting
- It should show 1-3 athletes, boys or girls, and does not need to be full body
- It can be from volleyball, basketball, track or tennis. Showing the SJV on the uniform would be ideal
- The resolution needs to be 300dpi or better

Donations Requested for K5 This year Mrs.McRae is transforming her housekeeping center into a new imaginative play center each month. Many of you have some awesome jobs and she was wondering if you could help her collect some items? Some of the things she was hoping to collect would be items to make a doctor's office, a vet, restaurant items, grocery store, etc. If you have any items that may be of use for her classroom, please drop them off in the school office. Her students would truly appreciate it! Thanks.

Summer SCRIP
We will be placing orders August 3 and August 10. These are Monday deadlines and like always in the summer, Scrip will be available to pick up at the Parish Office the following Thursday.
To our online customers, please note these instructions. If you are reloading plastic cards or printing them off at home (ScripNow), you may continue to do so and receive immediate usage just like you always have enjoyed. But please note, if you order PLASTIC cards, you will only receive them the Thursday after our orders have been placed in August. Remember when you use PrestoPay, the money will be drawn from your bank account the very next day. We want you to be extra careful when placing your orders so you can avoid paying for your SCRIP, but not being able to use it until weeks later. If you have any questions concerning online ordering, please feel free to contact Martha Connelly, 262-717-9389 or Janet Fisher, 262-784-9673.
