The SJV general music program incorporates instrumental music

throughout all grade levels.

"I am so excited that we can express our musical talent through band and orchestra. Now that band is an elective that we can take during the school day, we have more time after school to do other extra-curricular activities."

Great news! This special edition of the Shamrock Weekly brings late-breaking news about our music program at St. John Vianney School. Just yesterday we received confirmation that in addition to general music and choir, we are able to offer middle school band and middle school strings as elective classes, which meet the music requirements for grades 6, 7 and 8.

In order to achieve this, several programming elements will be in place for the 2015-2016 school year that bring strength and vigor to our entire St. John Vianney School music program. Middle school band and strings will be taught during the regular academic day and students will receive a grade. Our general music and current vocal and instrumental music programs will continue for primary and intermediate grades. Our own Mrs. Lauren Revers will teach a combination of music and strings. We are posting a full time faculty position for music and band.

This restructured program will boost the vitality of our already successful music curriculum and commitment to the arts at St. John Vianney School.

Peace,

SJV is posting a full-time position for general music and band. Interested applicants should contact Chris Gordon.
