Dear Saint John Vianney School Friends and Families,
It is still pretty quiet around here, but we are counting down the days to the arrival of the students. The school is all shiny, new materials are arriving, and teachers are getting their classrooms ready. I hope that you are looking forward to the new school year with happy anticipation.
We are welcoming a number of new students to our school community. Ms. Emily Rittgers is joining us as the new Kindergarten teacher. A number of familiar faces are returning with new responsibilities. Susan Drees, Wendy Schmit, Courtney Albright, Gloria Goss, Jessica Yankala, Dan Demeter, and Sue Schmitt are returning with new instructional assignments. Mrs. Mary Label is our long-term substitute in Spanish and Mrs. Clare Lange is our long-term substitute teacher in Kindergarten.
Teachers are returning full-time on Monday, August 18th with a full roster of professional development activities. The first day for students is on Friday, August 22nd for Orientation Day. Orientation Day is from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The Activity Center will hold all the materials and information you need. Student photos will be taken in the school cafeteria. All students and parents are encouraged to visit the classrooms to meet the teachers and drop off their school supplies. To save time on Orientation Day, please pick up your Back-to-School Packets in the narthex of the parish. Packets will remain in the narthex until Sunday, August 17th.
It is such a blessing to be together again.
Peace,
