Have you set up your Member Company User Account? If not, please take a minute now to do so. Go to www.pahma.org and point to the Membership tab at the top of the page;  then select Member Login. Enter your email address and click 'Lost Password'.  You will receive a message that will allow you to create your password and set up your member account.  Once that is done you will be able to send a special link to all company personnel at all your managed sites to create their personal member accounts that will be linked to your member company. If you have any problem with this process, please contact us using the online contact form or by sending a message to info@pahma.org.  We will be happy to assist you.

Once you have set up your Member Company Account, you can renew your membership with the click of a mouse!  It's that easy. Payment can be made by credit card or by check.  The annual fee is just $210.

2014 PAHMA SPRING TRAINING
CLASSES START IN APRIL

We have an exciting lineup coming this season...from Fair Housing to Tax Credit to Hot HUD Topics to Preservation Training!

 

Frank Bangor returns to provide 2 days of Fair Housing Training for both Management and Maintenance Staff...PLUS, we hit the road this Spring to provide Fair Housing Training in Erie!  A.J. Johnson will bring us Tax Credit Training and preparation for the SHCM Exam.   PHFA will bring us a new program on Preservation Training;  and there is so much more.

 

It's not too early to start planning!

SPOTLIGHT ON AFFORDABLE HOUSING

HOUSING FOR THOSE WITH DISABILITIES:
Charles Scalise, President/CEO of Housing and Neighborhood Development Service (HANDS), recently announced that HANDS has been awarded a grant to advance the cause of housing for those with disabilities.  HANDS will be partnering with Accessible Dreams, a company out of Washington, PA, advocating for and specializing in the development of barrier-free homes. Chuck is putting together a task-force committee for Multifamily Housing and is looking for volunteers. If you share the passion for this cause, please contact Chuck at www.hands-erie.org

2013 ANNUAL INDUSTRY AND AHMA AWARDS:
The National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA) is pleased to announce the winners of its annual Industry and AHMA Awards. The list includes both individuals and organizations whose professionalism, dedication and accomplishments in assuring quality housing for low-income Americans raises the standards of the multifamily affordable housing industry.  
 
PAHMA has been recognized with the "INNOVATION AWARD" for the third consecutive year.  This award celebrates our partnership with the Victim Outreach Intervention Center (VOICe), in presenting an innovative program "Bullying Hurts ... at Any Age!" at the 2013 PAHMA Fall Conference. This program explored bullying in the residential setting - defining what it is and exploring the intimidating tactics used across different age groups.   read more
