Excel Reports Coming Soon - Want to Beta Test?
Beta test a new GP Reports Viewer build with Excel reports
We have been busy working on new functionality to allow launching Excel reports from Dynamics GP. Reports can be based on SQL code directly in the report, or on SQL views and stored procedures. If you are interested in getting a sneak peak at this exciting new feature participating in our beta test program, please contact us.
All beta testers will get a chance to use the new Excel functionality as soon as it is ready for testing. We anticipate this to be by the end of July.
The three beta testers that participate the most will each get a $50 Amazon.com gift card.

Getting Rid of Extra Columns on SSRS Reports How to remove extra columns when exporting SSRS reports to Excel by Mickie Stamm |
I wanted to follow up my tip the from last newsletter. Sometimes even when you are able to look at all the report objects at 400% and they all look perfectly lined up, you can still get extra hidden columns when you export your report to Excel.
One way that I have been able to address this is to change the width of all the objects that I want to line up together to be the same exact number of points. The important part of this is to use points instead of another measurement. For example, using the same exact number of inches does not produce the same results.
To help with translating existing column widths, 1 inch = 72 points.
