THE WEST MICHIGAN CHAPTER OF THE US GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL WISHES YOU
VERY HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
The Board of Directors would like to thank you for your impact on the West Michigan green building community. West Michigan continues to be a sustainability hub for innovation, creativity, and trend-setting. We have you to thank for this.
As you move toward the New Year, please consider supporting the local Chapter through giving. Simply put, we cannot keep West Michigan on the green-building map without your support.
What should you give?
A $100 donation will support us at the administrative level. This donation will help offset the cost of running the Chapter.
A $500 donation will support us at the programming level and allow us to continue to offer education with GBCI credit, attract prestigious speakers, and host at great venues.
A $1,000 donation will support us at the mission level and allow the board to continue its work toward transforming the West Michigan built environment.
A $5,000 donation will support us at the visionary level and allow the Chapter to move beyond mission to vision.

USGBC West Michigan is a 501(c)3 mission-driven organization.

LETTER FROM THE CHAIR
I would like to congratulate and welcome to the Board of Directors three new members (Mark Zoeteman, Brett Little, and Jennifer Allen) and two re-elected members (Cheri Holman & Steve Hassevoort) whose term will start in January 2013.The Chapter board has made a decision to expand the role of its association manager, Professional Administrative Resources (PAR). Our account manager from PAR is Jen Schottke, LEED AP. Over the past year, she has provided Chapter support with such items as our monthly newsletter and event registration. As the need for leadership has grown within the Chapter, the Board has voted to increase Jen's involvement to Executive Director and we will begin this change in January 2013. This contracted role will not be a full-time paid staff position as in the past, but will remain a part-time position contracted through PAR. This change will allow Jen to work with the Chapter in a very visible role to further our mission in West Michigan.
