9 Julio Empanada Kitchen
is a restaurant in Oakland, California offering baked-to-order savory and sweet empanadas made from fresh, high quality ingredients.

The restaurant's name makes reference to the street in Buenos Aires that celebrates Argentina's independence. 

Michelle Regenbogen of Macchiatto Design asked me to create a handcrafted wordmark that worked well for the American market- place while giving a nod to the heritage of foods from Argentina, Mexico, Jamaica and Cuba. These were some of my studies for the project.
