| Meet the Grinch at Phoenix Books!
|
Dear Friends,
Of Vermont's many seasons, the holiday season might be our favorite. After all, it's when we get to help you find just the right gift for everyone on your list - and matching books with people is what we do best!
But there is, of course, more to it than that: When you choose to shop at Phoenix, you're not just getting great gifts for your family and friends. You're giving us the gift of your support, and giving yourself, your family, and your neighbors the gift of a strong, vibrant community. We truly can't thank you enough!
Sincerely,
Mike, Renee, Adam, Ali, Beth, Bianca, Christy, Colleen, Dan, Donna, Eliza, Erik, Heather, JoAnna, Johanna, Kaitlin, Kari, Kelly, Kristen, Lynn, Michael, Michaela, Monika, Phil, Rachel F., Rachel O., Rachel T., Rebecca, Sean, Tod, Tricia, Wendy, and Will

UPCOMING EVENTS
December highlights at Phoenix Books
This will be a festive month indeed! The first weekend of December, all three Phoenix Books locations will host "Meet the Grinch" events. These events will launch our annual food drive, and we invite you to grow your heart three sizes by bringing a nonperishable donation for the local food shelf to the event, or later in the month.
This Thursday, 12/3, Phoenix Books Burlington will host the book launch for Stephen Cramer's lyrical cookbook A Little Thyme and a Pinch of Rhyme. On Sunday, 12/6, we invite you to Bookapalooza, an evening of rapid reviews and a wonderful opportunity to get all your holiday shopping done. On 12/13, you can browse for gifts while you enjoy live holiday music from many countries and many times with Full Circle.
On 12/12, Megan Price, the author of the phenomenally popular Vermont Wild series, will visit Phoenix Books Essex to sign copies of her newest volume of tales from our state's fish and game wardens. The following weekend, shoppers who could use a chocolate pick-me-up will be in luck! Lauren K. Stein will bring samples of black and white bark, one of the recipes from her beautifully illustrated new cookbook Fresh Made Simple.
Phoenix Books Rutland will also get a visit from Megan Price (12/13) and from Lauren K. Stein (12/19). Plus, we'll welcome Andrea Chesman, author of The Backyard Homestead Book of Kitchen Know-How, for a demo and book signing on 12/12. She's even bringing sourdough starter to share with customers who purchase a copy of her book! (While supplies last.) Phoenix Books Rutland will be open Sundays from 11am to 4pm for the holiday season, and on Thursday, 12/10, we'll be open until 9pm!
Find our complete December events schedule here, on our website.
