Dear Friends,
Spring is approaching, and spirits are high here at Phoenix Books! We continue to hear how excited community members are that we'll be opening a third store, in Rutland, later this year. From the architecture to the outpouring of support, we have been astonished at what we've seen in Rutland, and we'll keep you apprised of developments! This month our Burlington location will host half a dozen events for all ages: Kate Messner and James Kochalka will share their new books for young readers, and Dayna Lorentz will celebrate the paperback release of her newest young adult title. UVM's Tom Simone, whose newest book is a translation of Purgatorio, will explore the cultural impact of Dante beyond Inferno. For those itching to get out into the great outdoors, Peter Shea and Ron Krupp will inspire fishermen/women and gardeners, respectively. Meanwhile, whether you're looking to fight cabin fever by escaping into a novel or planning outdoor adventures, our booksellers in Essex and Burlington are ready to help you find just the right title. See you among the shelves! Sincerely,
Mike, Renee, Adam, Ali, Beth, Christy, Colleen, Dan, Donna, Eliza, Erik, Evelyn, Greg, Heather, Kari, Kelly, Kristen, Michael, Phil, Rachel, Sean, Tod, and Wendy
