Senator Elizabeth Warren

July 2014
Dear Friends,

It might be the lazy days of summer, but this season has started off with a bang here at Phoenix Books.  On June 20th, we presented An Afternoon with Elizabeth Warren, our biggest event yet.  Thank you so much to everyone who attended for helping us welcome Senator Warren to Burlington.

There are big things happening in July, as well.  On July 7th at 7pm, we'll join Chris Bohjalian for the Close Your Eyes, Hold Hands Rock & Roll Book Tour global launch at the Fletcher Free Library.  Chris' new book is set primarily in Burlington, and even has scenes set at the library itself!  Stephen Kiernan, author of The Curiosity, will interview Chris on the library stage, and we know this event will be a blast.

That's not all we have going on in July:  For your youngest readers, we'll be hosting David Kirk (the creator of Miss Spider) in Essex.  In Burlington, we'll enjoy an evening of poetry and discuss a corrupt figure from New England's past.  We invite all ages to join the hunt for Champ, at both locations and throughout our area.

Sincerely,

Mike, Renee, Adam, Beth, Christy, Colleen, Dan, Donna,

Evelyn, Heather, Kari, Kelly, Kristen, Michael, Nick, Phil,
Rachel,
Sean, Tod, and Wendy
