            | | For this month's installment of "Phoenix Profiles," we're featuring Phoenix Books' Essex's Bookseller Adam. PHOENIX PROFILES: ADAM
Perhaps it all started when his parents took him at the ripe young age of three to the library. Adam could be found curled up on the floor with Tintin's latest adventure. Not much has changed since then. Adam has studied literature for more than twelve years, both at home and abroad, specializing in medieval literature and the work of Chaucer. When not reading works from his favorite authors David Sedaris, David Levithan and Dave Eggers (all named David, oddly enough), Adam enjoys poetry, political nonfiction and travel writing. When Adam cannot be found near a book, he may be teaching a lesson at Champlain Valley Union High School or perfecting his forehand on the Ultimate Frisbee field. Adam lives in Essex Junction with his partner, Jen, and their Hobbit-inspired feline companion, Pippin.
