PHOENIX PROFILES: COLLEEN
For this month's installment of "Phoenix Profiles," we're featuring Phoenix Books Essex's Floor Manager, Colleen.

Colleen started a career in bookselling in 1986, spending time on both the East and West coasts opening a number of chain stores and acting as a consultant for store openings and bookstore moves.  "I love setting up new stores and designing floor plans of bookstore sections," she says.  Colleen prefers to work at an independent bookstore and maintain a strong connection to the community.  She helped Mike and Renee transition into bookstore ownership in their first bookstore venture.  In fact, she has worked with Mike and Renee in some capacity for nearly 18 years!  Currently she is the floor manager at Phoenix Books Essex and also does gift buying for both of our stores. Some of Colleen's favorite genres include children's books, memoirs, nature, and animals.  In her free time you can find her reading, spending time outside, taking pictures, and creating jewelry or crafts.  She lives in Underhill with her daughter, two cats, a guinea pig, and a puppy.
