Volunteer Opportunities at Museum
Step up
Step up and help! Spark a child's learning through play and discovery by volunteering at the Great Lakes Children's Museum! Discover how you can make a positive impact on children and their families, and support the Museum by giving your time in one of the many available volunteer positions.

Leadership Positions
The Great Lakes Children's Museum is governed by a Board of Trustees. The Board oversees the Museum's strategic direction and aids its financial and programmatic success. The work of the Board is supported by standing committees, which do work outside of the Board meetings to increase the organization's efficiency and effectiveness. We start a new Museum Year in July and are currently recruiting to both the Board and Committees. For more information about leadership volunteer opportunities, click here...
Interactive Opportunities
There is a variety of other ways for you to get involved and volunteer at Museum while interacting with children. Whether you'd prefer to help with art activities, assist with Toddler Time, or join us in one of our many summer outreach activities, we have a great opportunity for you at the Great Lakes Children's Museum. Wednesdays & Fridays, 10 to 12 through August 23
Toddler Time is offered Fridays from 10 am to 12 pm during the school year and on Wednesdays and Friday during the summer. It is an opportunity for toddlers to interact with each other and learn through a variety of activities and experiences. Toddler Time encourages toddlers' natural curiosity, enhances fine and gross motor skills, guides appropriate social behaviors, and facilitates essential cognitive growth. Most importantly, it's fun! Toddler Time is included with the price of admission or the cost of your annual membership.

Bean Bag Fun, June 7
Children will fill their own bean bag with beans. We sew the bag closed. Children will have fun tossing their bean bag through hoops and into baskets.

Coffee filter Drip Drop, June 14
Drip water colors on a paper filter to create a rainbow of fun.

Let's Fish, June 21
Fantastic fishing fun! Catch some fish with poles and magnets. Watch and feed some live fish.
