Night of International Exploration
Friday, February 8 - 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm
Chinese New Year 2013
For our February Member Night we will explore three different cultures: China, the Netherlands and Mexico. Celebrate the Chinese New Year with a dragon dance and learn about the years of the Chinese calendar. Make a brightly colored tissue flower and then visit the Mexican Cantina. Play a Dutch game and have your picture taken in wooden shoes. There will be many more activities for you and your children to do and explore.

As with all Member Nights, we will provide you and the kids with complimentary refreshments. Also, each member child may bring a young guest free of charge. This is a members-only event. However, you can renew or take out a membership on the night of the event.

This is just another benefit of membership at the Museum and one of our ways to thank you for your membership.

Did you know according to the Chinese calendar we're leaving the year of the Dragon and entering the year of the Snake on February 10, 2013?
February Toddler Time Schedule
Fridays, 10 am to 12 pm

Toddler Time is offered Fridays from 10 am to 12 pm. It is an opportunity for toddlers to interact with each other and learn through a variety of activities and experiences. Toddler Time encourages toddlers' natural curiosity, enhances fine and gross motor skills, guides appropriate social behaviors, and facilitates essential cognitive growth. Most importantly, it's fun! Toddler Time is included with the price of admission or the cost of your annual membership.

Museum Store Feature - Water WOW
Water Wow Doodle BookColor with water, let dry, and then color it again! This Water Wow coloring set comes with four letter-themed boards and a refillable water pen.

Use the pen to fill in each activity on the four reusable pages, from coloring in boxes to tracing letters, and see hidden colors and pictures appear with every stroke. Then simply let the page dry to erase the pictures and fill it in again and again. This alphabet-themed book includes every letter of the alphabet (uppercase and lowercase) to trace, alongside pictures of familiar objects to illustrate each sound. There are empty lines for practice, too. The chunky-sized water pen is easy for kids to hold and stores neatly right in the front cover.

Other Water Wow sets are available. Sure to keep your child entertained!
