SCHAEFER CENTER CELEBRATION 
Matthew Gallagher, president and CEO of the Goldseker Foundation, will speak at the grand opening of the new home for the Schaefer Center for Public Policy on Thursday, April 10 beginning at 5:30 p.m. The center's new location, in the UB-owned building at 5 W. Chase Street, serves as the central hub for its activities supporting effective government and policy analysis, through training, research, and fact-finding for a variety of public and private organizations. The center is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. For more information, please call 410.837.6188. 
60 YEARS AFTER BROWN: PANEL EVENT
In honor of Black History Month, Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake hosts a panel discussion of local academicians and legal professionals on the impact of the Brown vs. Board of Education decision 60 years later. You are invited to this discussion on Wednesday, Feb. 19 from 6-8 p.m. in the Law Center Moot Courtroom. Please RSVP at cpa@ubalt.edu or call 410.837.4876.

UBSPI
The UB Students for Public Interest is a student-run organization dedicated to advancing public interest law. For two decades, UBSPI has inspired students to pursue careers focused on serving the less fortunate and underprivileged in an effort to help them obtain equal representation in the justice system.  

Join UBSPI on Friday, February 28, 2014 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. in the Moot Courtroom for live and silent auctions, hors d'oeurvres, beer and wine and help raise money for a good cause: summer fellowships at public interest organizations. Buy tickets or email ubspi@ubalt.edu for more information. 
LESSONS FROM LEGENDS WITH KEVIN R. DUNBAR
As part of the Merrick School of Business "Lessons from Legends" program, Kevin R. Dunbar will be on campus Tuesday, March 5, 2014 to discuss leadership, entrepreneurship and innovation.

UB alumni are invited to attend the "Private Equity: Opportunities and Challenges" event on March 6, 2014 from 5:30-9:00 p.m. in the UB Learning Commons Town Hall Auditorium. Hosted by the UB Investment Society, this event will feature a high profile panel with four speakers who are working in investment banking, venture capital, and mezzanine finance. Want to step up your job search? In this six-week session, you will learn how to navigate through your job search, make key contacts and find a job that positions you best for the long term.

Two six-week sessions are offered:
Wednesdays, Feb. 26-April 9, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Thursdays, Feb. 27-April 10, 1-3 p.m.
(Groups will not meet during Spring Break)
