March 2014
Only a couple of weeks until Spring, but it sure seems like Winter does not want to give up (At least here in the Midwest).

Just because it is cold out does not mean that we cannot have some hot deals for you.  Our Carlo Gavazzi cordset special pricing continues through the end of the month.  With enough response we may be able to get this pricing extended (If not for everyone, at least for you.  Contact us to request ongoing pricing for this product).

Our fantastic ProFace training program begins now.
See below for details!
Did you know ABB has enclosures for their DIN-Rail mount breakers?

You already know ABB is one of the premier circuit breaker manufacturers in the world, but the story does not end there.  As part of their industry leading System pro M compact series, they offer accessories such as shunt trips, and aux contacts as well pilot devices (pushbuttons, pilot lights, selector switches, etc.) all with the same form factor so they can all use the same dead-front enclosure.  Here is a link to the pilot device catalog.

UL489 Circuit Breakers
Current Limiting Mini Breakers
All breakers for the System pro M are UL certified as current limiting devices. The system's branch breakers can interrupt a short circuit in 2.3ms to 2.5ms or less than a quarter cycle at 60 Hz. Interrupting a short circuit in less than a quarter cycle severely limits the available I²t value and gives ABB's breakers similar performance as fuses.

Full Coordination With Tmax Breakers to 26kA
The branch breakers and the main breakers of the System pro M are fully coordinated up to 26kA at 225A and 400A. During a short circuit at the branch breaker level, the branch breaker will isolate the fault, limit the available I²t value, disconnect the fault from the network, and the main breaker will continue to supply voltage to all remaining circuits.

High quality and performance at the price of standard sensors - Series 600 Classic Series from Contrinex

Guaranteed increased sensing performance at an excellent
price-to-performance ratio.

For over forty years, Contrinex has been a technology leader in the development and manufacture of sensors for the most diverse applications.

Our knowledge gained here has now been used to develop inductive sensors based on ASIC technology (Application Specific Integrated Circuit).

These combine all the advantages of a high performance sensor with the price of a standard device: the robust, reliable and cost-effective inductive sensors of the Classics family (series 600).

ADVANTAGES OF ASICS TECHNOLOGY

ASIC (Application specific integrated circuit) technology brings a lot of advantages to the end user that they are normally not aware of.

Using an ASIC chip enables us to reduce the number of electronic components significantly, reducing the risk of failing components and also increasing the lifetime of the sensor.

Another big advantage is that the final calibration of the sensors can be done when the assembly process is complete, ensuring that the operating distance for all sensors is the same.

THE CLASSICS FAMILY

The extensive Classics family includes all standard sizes - from 3 mm subminiature sensors (operating distance 1 mm) up to M30 sensors (operating distance 15 mm). Regardless of the size of the sensor, all devices have effective integrated temperature compensation, which allows an extended temperature range of -25 to 100°C and operating distances up to twice the standard. For sensors of the same type, the operating distance has a maximum deviation of less than two percent. This provides exceptional switching accuracy, which in turn simplifies sensor installation.

These sensors are used, for example, under the most demanding conditions in deep drawing presses, compact material handling systems, and in textile machines, where cost-effective, easy-to-use sensor solutions are required, or for modern technologies such as wind turbines. The unrivaled price-performance ratio and universal applicability of Classics family sensors helps improve machine reliability, making systems more profitable and so providing the user with a competitive edge.
