sign in, and then proceed to the lunch area! 

Here are the lunch times:
Kindergarten, 2nd, 4th, and 5th: 11:30am to 12:15pm
1st, 3rd, and 6th: 12:00pm to 12:45pm

DMSEF 2013
THANK YOU SAGE CANYON PARENTS! 
  Based on total contributions received by the deadline of May 7th,
the Del Mar Schools Education Foundation (DMSEF) is happy
to announce that they will be able to fund 14 full-time equivalent (FTE)
ESC teachers for the 2013-14 school year. This is a tremendous
accomplishment and the DMSEF Board members send a special thanks
to the two-thirds of DMUSD parents who have contributed to this
year's campaign to make this possible.


A special shout-out to all the Sage Canyon families that
supported the DMSEF fund-raising this year. We are thrilled that
85% of our families contributed, making this our record year for
participation! There is no doubt that Sage Canyon is thriving because
of parental commitment and involvement. A school is as strong as
the partnerships between its' community of parents, staff  and students. 
Sage Canyon is living proof of this!

STUDENT INFORMATION FORM 
During the final month of this school year, staff will begin developing 
preliminary 2013/2014 student placements. The placements and class 
rosters will be finalized in August. Many factors are considered as 
we make student placements. Parent input is yet another factor we 
are pleased to consider as we develop classes. If you would like 
to share information, which we may not already have, 
you may complete a Student Information Form

you may request a copy of this form from our office staff. 
Completed forms must be returned to your child's current 
classroom teacher no later than Friday, May 17, 2013. 
Great care will be taken to place each child whether or not we receive 
a Student Information Form for your child. The final 2013/2014 class 
rosters will be available on the District website in late August.

FUN IN THE SUN
Field Day Event 2013 - Tuesday, June 11th 
Summer is almost here...and what a way to end the school year
with a fun filled day of wet and wild field activities for all of our
hard working students and teachers! Field Day will be held on
Tuesday, June 11th from 8:15am-2:15pm on Sage Canyon's field.
This year's field day theme is "Fun in the Sun."
We are in need of energetic parent volunteers to help manage a
few of our exciting activity stations. If you are available and would
like to have fun, laugh with our students, get the kids soaked,
and set up a few fun activities please sign up to volunteer as
soon as possible. We will need your support!

This is Dads Club's big call for volunteers -
step up and come join your children and their classmates on the
field for a fun day outside in the sun! Moms, Dads and Grandparents
are all encouraged to participate.
There are three sessions available for volunteers:
Session 1 - 8:15-9:45am  -- (K 8:15-9:00am and 1st 9:00-9:45am)
Session 2 - 10:00-11:45am -- (5th/6th 10:00-11:00am and 3rd 11:00-11:45am)
Session 3 - 12:45-2:15pm -- (2nd 12:45-1:30pm and 4th 1:30-2:15pm)
Please email Mr. Tracy with your volunteer commitment
at ttracy@dmusd.org or if you can not commit then just show up
when you can, there will always be someone
ready for a break, so just stop by...Thank you!

SIBLING PERFORMANCE STANDARDS 
Grade levels have curriculum specific performances at
various times throughout the school year.
As a rule of thumb, siblings are not
released from class to attend other grade
level performances. In order for a student to attend
a sibling's performance during the school day,
written permission (a note or email) must be
provided to the classroom teacher
24 hours in advance. 
Attending siblings must be picked up by the parent
at their classroom prior to the performance
and escorted back to the classroom
following the completion of the performance.
Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring that every student is
safe and accounted for at all times during the school day.
