The yearbook's theme for 2012-2013 is Making Your Mark.
Sage Canyon School is preparing it's students to make a
mark in the world through sports, music, volunteer work,
and so many different after-school activities.
Submit a picture to the yearbook that shows us how YOU
are making your outstanding mark OUTSIDE of Sage Canyon.
Did you make a difference in your community?
Did you reach a significant achievement in your
extra-curricular activity? Send us a photo!
Please include the student's name, grade, and
a short blurb for the picture. Submit the highest resolution
photo possible to SageCanyonYearbook@gmail.com by February 15th.
HEALTHY CHOICES DAY
Healthy Choices Day is Friday, March 1st!
Healthy Choices Day is an opportunity to educate our
Sage Canyon kids about the importance of exercise, making
healthy food choices, practicing good dental health, and being sun smart.
We have many fun activities planned, including:
Food Revolution
Jimbo's will be coming to campus to teach every child
about the benefits healthy eating and will pass out organic fruit samples.
Recipe Contest
Do you have a healthy recipe that kids will actually eat?
Please submit your favorite healthy recipe to
Jimbo's will review your recipe and the winners will be
announced at the end of Healthy Choices Day!
Roadrunners Double Stamps
Roadrunners will have a special Friday session with music and double stamps!
Rocking Recess
Mr. Tracy will set up his special "Veins and Arteries" game!
MMA Academy Classes/Demonstration
Come and join in the fun at lunch recess as MMA
Academy demonstrates a great way to stay fit!
Healthy Family Dinner Night
Urban Plates will be partnering with Sage Canyon
to offer delicious, fresh, and organic dinners in conjunction
with Healthy Choices Day! Bring your family to dinner
on Tuesday, February 26th or call in an order and use
their convenient curbside pick up.
Urban Plates will donate 10% of the proceeds back to Sage Canyon!
Healthy Goodie Bags
Students will receive goodie bags with apples from
Jimbo's and other healthy tips and samples.
SAGE CANYON'S USED BOOK SALE
The annual Used Book Sale will be held from March 11-13 in the MUR.
Start cleaning out those bookshelves and closets for gently used:
* Adult and children's hardcover and paperback books
* Board games and puzzles, Software/computer games
* CDs, DVDs, Audio books on CD (no VHS tapes or cassettes please)
Donations can be brought to the Library during school hours.

JR. OLYMPICS!
Wednesday, March 27 from 12:45pm to 2:30pm
The
Jr. Olympics Skills Competition is a free skills competition
that provides boys and girls, ages 8 to 13, the opportunity to
showcase their athletic abilities in four (4) sports:
basketball, soccer, tennis and track & field.
Participation is voluntary.
However, for those students who wish to participate, they must
return a parent-signed registration form by Friday, March 22.
Registration forms are available in the front office.
